The Story of Chat en Oeuf

Any self-respecting dog would put their tail between their legs if they thought they owed their existence to a cat. However, the Longue-Dog wines are the direct result of the success of their feline cousin, Chat-en-Oeuf who was tip toeing over the shelves while the doggy was still a pup!

The Longue-Dog range of wines have been created by our skilled winemakers, Samantha & Eric in the sunny climes of the Languedoc in the South of France.  Buying a bottle of wine can be a confusing task, row upon row of bottles from all over the world; but we believe they have done a great job, creating an award winning range with true French character and a little tongue-in-cheek humour on the bottle!

Where cats tread carefully, dogs go charging in and Longue-Dog has been received with the same enthusiasm, fantastic wines that deliver but don’t take themselves too seriously, a howling success.

A 'cat basket' in the sun

The South of France is the perfect home for any hound, plenty of sunshine for a quiet snooze and lots of wide open spaces to explore.

The home of the ChatVines flourish in the Languedoc, a region where grapes are delightfully ripened in long sunny days. The result is fruity grapes of exceptional quality that our winemakers carefully select to produce the Longue-Dog wines, something we are proud to bark about!
